Marta graduated in BSc Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain. Then, she completed an MSc in Aerospace Materials at Cranfield University, UK. Later, she graduated from an Industrial PhD in Aerospace Manufacturing. The PhD was in collaboration with Sensor Coating Systems Ltd. (SCS) and Cranfield University, UK. The work developed a coating to reliably sense temperatures up to 1600 °C, tackling the demand of the industry. Marta's PhD was awarded with a Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 Industrial Fellowship - a three-year research award given to approximately eight “young scientists or engineers of exceptional promise”.

After completing her PhD, and working as a Materials Engineer at SCS for one year, Marta joined Lilium GmbH as a Materials & Processes Engineer. At Lilium she is supporting design, manufacturing and quality of the battery case and the battery internal structure of the 7-seater eVTOL Lilium Jet program. Marta's responsibilities include writing documents such as specifications, test plans and test reports related to materials and processes.

In her spare time, Marta likes to sing, play the guitar, and dance.
