Element: Earth
For our first Magna Mater mission, the element we worked on was Earth. We requested the help of Damien Lecouvey, member of the French Explorers Society. This association counts amongst its members French astronauts Thomas Pesquet, Jean-François Clervoy, Claudie Haigneré and Jean-Pierre Haigneré.
The mission took place in October 2021 and during this mission, the team learned several survival skills such as starting a fire under rainy conditions, building shelter, rescuing people, rock climbing as well as some aspects of the special forces training Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape.
Time On Target
Damien founded Time On Target, a company specialised in all kinds of survival training. For us, he customized a 5-day mission in the heart of the regional park of Morvan, close to Dijon, in France. Learn more about Time On Target on their website (in French).
